more reverse experiments on clockingout and gardening. i actually like how the the reverse swells ended up in dontforgettheparkingpass, it  reminds me of an accordion.  for the song aturtleneck, i plugged the drum machine into my distortion pedals and i'm sure the arpagio was inspired by "Godspeed! You Black Emperor". i tried to get the "plucked violin's" sound from my guitar on youcanseethemhavingdinnerthroughtheirwindow. sounds just like it!

i listened to pretty much nothing but classical music when i created constructioninthemorning and normalweather. with whatswrong i tried to create the sound of a choir on my guitar and bumpersticker is another song that just sounds better in reverse! :D

there's something about music being played in reverse that i love.

i tried to create two solid sections for pets that blended together nicely without sounding like the typical verse chorus change up. it ended up being one of my longest loops. schoolcrossingguard is once again another unintentionally inspired jon brion song while illbebackafterrunningsomeerrands was an experiment with slight off-tuning which, hopefully, is still bearable to hear. finally nothingtodanceto is probably as pop centric and "fun" as my loops get ;P

here are three more short loops that i made. i like the name for ifeelbetternowthatiboughtsomething better then i like the actual loop. mostly because it's short and loops too quickly

i fancy reversing bits or whole sections of my loops

Apr. 4th, 2005 | 09:58 pm

it turns out that all of the pops, crackling, and hiss that's been turning up on these loops are not user error after all. apparently the 8 track Mike got is defective and is being exchanged in due form. so the next installment of loops will unfortunately retain these annoying features.
